We are seeking a highly skilled, safety-conscious, and versatile Equipment Operator to join our fast-paced 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) distribution center in Shepherdsville, KY. In this role, you will be the backbone of our inventory movement, responsible for operating three primary pieces of machinery:
Sit-Down Forklifts, Stand-Up Reach Trucks, and Cherry Pickers (Order Pickers). Because we manage supply chains for a diverse portfolio of clients, the ideal candidate must easily transition between unloading trailers on the dock, navigating narrow aisles to put away stock, and safely picking individual orders at high elevations.
- Inbound & Outbound Dock Operations:
Safely unload incoming trailers using a Sit-Down forklift, stage materials, and load outbound freight according to weight distribution guidelines. - High-Bay Put-Aways & Replenishment:
Navigate narrow aisles with a Stand-Up Reach truck to accurately place full pallets into high-rack storage or lower them to replenish active picking bays. - High-Level Order Picking:
Elevate safely on a Cherry Picker to hand-pick individual cases or pieces to fulfill e-commerce and retail client orders based on WMS directives. - Pre-Shift Safety Inspections:
Conduct and document mandated daily equipment inspections (checking brakes, hydraulics, batteries, and safety guards) before operation. - Inventory & Quality Control:
Maintain a high level of accuracy (99%+) by verifying part numbers, lot codes, and quantities against the scanner before moving product. - Housekeeping & Safety Advocacy:
Maintain a clean, organized work area; report any damaged racking or safety hazards immediately to leadership.

Experience1-4 years
Qualifications- Equipment Proficiency:
Proven, hands-on experience operating all three primary lifts:
Sit-Down (gas/electric), Stand-Up Reach Truck, and Cherry Picker/Order Picker. - Fall-Protection Compliance:
Ability and willingness to work at heights up to 30+ feet while properly wearing a safety harness and lanyard. - RF Scanner Literacy:
Experience utilizing RF handheld scanners or tablet-mounted computers for real-time inventory tracking, order picking, and put-aways. - Basic Math & Literacy:
Strong ability to read, write, and speak English; capability to perform basic warehouse math (counting cases, calculating pallet configurations, verifying SKU numbers). - Physical Stamina:
Ability to lift up to 50lbs regularly, stand for long periods, and comfortably mount/dismount equipment throughout an 8- to 12-hour shift.
