Position SummaryThe Maintenance Technician II is responsible for routine maintenance, special projects and other assignments of CRISTA Facilities and assists other Technicians when needed.
Essential Functions- Perform maintenance tasks such as repairing sheetrock, plumbing systems, electrical fixtures, door hardware, etc.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance.
- Operate small and large power equipment.
- Assist other Maintenance Technicians as assigned.
- Work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers and customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Committed Christian dedicated to continued spiritual growth and development as evidenced through a growing personal walk with God (daily spiritual rhythms of prayer, fellowship, Bible study, etc.).
- Prayerfully seeks God’s will in personal life and in ministry at CRISTA.
- Engages our ministry including staff and colleagues through prayer, participation in spiritual practices, leading devotionals and other spiritual practices.
- Affirms, aligns with and supports CRISTA’s Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Statement (CCC).
- Conducts themselves in a manner which reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith and CCC.
- Demonstrates the values of a CRISTA leader.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of experience in construction, general maintenance or similar field.
- Knowledge of basic maintenance skills such as repairing sheetrock, plumbing systems, electrical fixtures, door hardware, etc.
- Able to make repairs on equipment or physical plant, and to evaluate the need for repairs or replacement.
- Able to perform ladder work.
- In a specialized trade, such as carpentry, plumbing or electrical.
- Knowledge of mounting/hanging hardware (hanging TVs, etc.).
- Current valid Washington State driver’s license.
- Basic to moderate computer skills.
- Small and large power equipment.
- Hand tools.
- Safety equipment.
- Sewer machine auger.
- Quality and detail oriented.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and use all necessary tools with skill.
- Able to follow written and verbal directions.
- Occasional overtime or unusual hours for on-call responsibilities or emergencies.
- Work outdoors in inclement or harsh weather including snow removal, as assigned.
- May be required to supply own hand tools.
- Wear a CRISTA provided uniform.
- Able to work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers and customers.
- Completion of trade school or apprenticeship program.
- Experience in maintaining older buildings.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- CPR/First Aid.
- CPO (Certified pool operator).
- Journeymen level card in a trade.
- Specialized trade tools.
- Proficient at more than one specialized trade.
- Letter of recommendation.
