The Housekeeper will maintain a safe and clean environment for the residents, their families, and the CRISTA employees that we serve. Perform routine duties including cleaning, disposing of trash and providing supplies.
Essential Functions- Monitor assigned areas daily to ensure cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
- Promptly clean and disinfect surfaces and remove or report any unsafe, broken, or hazardous materials in accordance with facility standards.
- Provide supplies to the following locations:
- Patient rooms
- Resident apartments
- Common areas and restrooms
- Safely clean up human waste and other body fluids in accordance with facility infection control policies and procedures (I.E.:
Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and approved cleaning agent.) - Handle various cleaning chemicals in a safe and effective manner according to Safety Data Sheet (SDS) guidelines.
- Report unsafe, unclean, or broken materials that you are unable to clear to the Resident Services Manager.
- Properly use and take care of equipment.
- Attend meetings, classes and trainings as assigned by the Resident Services Manager.
- Use ladders in a safe manner, when necessary.
- Work collaboratively with managers, supervisor, lead, coworkers, and residents.

- Come to work as scheduled and demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
- Ability to pass background checks relating to DSHS Secretary’s List of Crimes and Negative Actions (WAC 388-113).
- Read, write, communicate in and interpret English at a functional level (i.e., read and comprehend usage instructions for cleaning products, verbally communicate with clarity, understand and explain information to our residents).
- Interact with a wide variety of people, particularly the elderly and their family members.
- Able to solve problems and work independently.
- Able to multitask and use discretion on what task requires a higher priority.
- Able to work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers, and residents.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
