Senior Maintenance Manager

Join Shea Properties as the maintenance leader for Canopy, where you will guide the onsite service team, maintain a high-quality apartment community, and create an exceptional experience for residents. This is a hands‑on leadership role for an experienced multifamily maintenance professional who enjoys developing people, solving complex building issues, and improving property performance.

• Complimentary onsite two-bedroom/two-bath apartment, subject to company policy
• Base salary of $89,000 to $115,000. Final compensation is based on directly relevant multifamily maintenance leadership experience.

• Coach, schedule, and develop the community’s service team.
• Oversee work orders, preventive maintenance, unit turns, inspections, and emergency response.
• Maintain building systems, apartments, amenities, and grounds to company and regulatory standards.
• Manage vendors, bids, inventory, invoices, operating expenses, and capital work.
• Partner with the General Manager on budgets, variance reporting, resident service, and asset preservation.
• Build a strong safety culture through training, inspections, documentation, and accountability.
• Lead and coach the maintenance team in delivering outstanding customer service, ensuring service requests are completed efficiently, resident concerns are addressed proactively, and satisfaction standards are consistently achieved.

• Five or more years of multifamily property‑maintenance experience preferred
• At least two years of maintenance‑team leadership or management experience preferred
• Advanced knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, drywall, and painting
• Experience managing vendors, budgets, inventory, preventive maintenance, and unit turns
• Strong communication, coaching, organization, and resident‑service skills
• Experience with Yardi or a comparable property‑management system preferred

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, walking, sitting, reaching, kneeling, crouching, stooping, crawling, and climb a ladder.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs., including equipment and materials.
