Responsibilities

The Maintenance Worker maintains a safe, functional physical environment for patients, employees and guests. The role provides guidance to associate team members and assists the Director of Plant Operations with administrative functions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Efficiently diagnose problems and formulate repair plans in a timely manner, while understanding operational guidelines for a safe working environment.

Maintain grounds by cleaning parking lots, mowing lawns, performing snow removal, trimming bushes and hedges, and planting flowers.

Carry out routine building maintenance tasks such as replacing ceiling tiles, running cables through ceilings, patching wallpaper, floor tiles and sheetrock, and testing specialized equipment while documenting results.

Perform routine plumbing and electrical maintenance, including unclogging drains, installing light switches, repairing wires and outlets, and installing light bulbs and tubes.

Complete assignments promptly and clean areas thoroughly upon completion to minimize the need for repeated tasks.

Qualifications

Education/

Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent;
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of general experience in electrical, mechanical, plumbing and air conditioning maintenance, with experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Hours of Work: Determined by the Director of Plant Operations according to facility needs; as needed.
