** location, you will work in conjunction with product and research engineers to design, develop, and qualify compressors for HVAC/R systems. To maintain our role as a global leader of compression solutions, we continually seek talented and ambitious technicians to work in our engineering laboratories. We are seeking a first shift HVAC/R technician to contribute to our growth and continued innovation.

** AS AN HVAC/R MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN, YOU WILL:*
* · Follow engineering laboratory test instructions to performance test variable speed compressors

· Set up and install compressors and support compressor electronics for test purposes

· Operate laboratory test equipment including calorimeters, mass flow stands, data acquisition systems, and other measuring equipment used to acquire compressor performance characteristics

· Setup and operate variable speed drives for testing purposes

· Fabricate supporting test fixtures and controls required for non-standard tests

· Review test data for compliance with applicable test data standards

· Perform various tasks related to the upkeep of the lab

· You will be responsible for completing required tests and communicating test results with engineers.  You will provide input on optimizing work processes to improve the overall efficiency of the lab

* SCHEDULE:

* This position is on the second shift and would consist of five eight-hour workdays Monday through Friday and would be eligible for voluntary overtime. Working on seconds shift, you earn a shift differential of $2.50 an hour. This role is based fully onsite, and not eligible for hybrid or remote work opportunities.

** REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, &

SKILLS:

* · High school diploma plus three (3) years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

· Must have basic mechanical, HVAC, and/or electrical/electronic skills

· Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

· Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office programs

· Legal Authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role

** PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, &

SKILLS:

* · Associate's degree plus three (3) years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

· Experienced in mechanical, HVAC, and/or electrical/electronic troubleshooting and repair
