The YMCA of Metropolitan Washington is one of the largest charities in the DC area. The Y serves as an anchor in the community offering programs and services encompassing youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

• Keep assigned areas clean and clear of trash
• Assist in set-up for meetings and/or special events
• Assist with laundry functions as needed
• Monitor and maintain cleaning chemical storage rooms and bulk trash storage areas
• Other duties as required

• High school diploma or GED
• One-year relevant experience
• Capable of performing tasks with minimal supervision
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment (vacuums, buffers, etc.)
• Knowledge of cleaning chemical capabilities, mixing proportions and use
• Knowledge in maintenance and care of finished surfaces
• Ability to respond to accidents, spills, and other housekeeping emergencies
