Position SummaryThe Housekeeper will maintain a safe and clean environment for the residents, their families, and the CRISTA employees that we serve. This position will perform routine duties that include cleaning, disposing of trash and providing supplies.
Essential Functions- Perform daily cleaning, disinfecting, and garbage removal in resident apartments, common areas, restrooms, and housekeeping areas.
- Follow cleaning and sanitation procedures set by the Lead Housekeeper and/or Facilities Director.
- Properly clean up human waste and other body fluids.
- Monitor assigned areas and clean or disinfect as needed.
- Report unsafe, unclean, or broken materials that cannot be immediately addressed to the Lead Housekeeper.
- Remove unsafe or broken materials when possible.
- Use all cleaning supplies and equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
- Properly use and maintain cleaning equipment such as carpet cleaners and extractors.
- Use ladders safely when required.
- Handle various cleaning chemicals in a safe and effective manner.
- Follow Residents’ Rights Policies at all times.
- Adhere to procedures outlined in the employee handbook.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, co-workers, and residents.
- Attend meetings, participate in training sessions, and complete assigned educational requirements.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Lead Housekeeper or Facilities Director.
- Conduct that reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, statement of faith, and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC).
