Parker Meggitt, a recent addition to Parker Hannifin, is a global leader in the Commercial and Military Aerospace markets. The Simi Valley, CA site supports major aerospace partners, including Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, and Lockheed Martin, and operates within the Fire Safety & Power Systems Division.
JOB DESIGNATIONThe Maintenance Technician repairs and maintains assigned manufacturing‑related equipment throughout the facility in accordance with standard procedures, internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications, and safety policies. The role involves a wide variety of skilled work across multiple functions and operations of the preventive maintenance system.
JOB CORE RESPONSIBILITIES- Perform maintenance service and repairs on assigned equipment.
- Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, replace, and maintain existing mechanical systems and associated equipment, including air compressors, air dryers, dehumidifiers, and cooling towers.
- Follow detailed operational instructions and prints for jobs and setup operations.
- Administer the preventive maintenance system and provide required reports.
- Determine preventative maintenance requirements for new equipment and educate and train operators to perform routine maintenance.
- Maintain a safe and effective work area and use appropriate personal protective and safety equipment.
- Support the Facilities Function as needed.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
- Ensure regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. May need to work nights, weekends, and variable schedules.
- Education: Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
- Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships, or equivalent experience in a related field.

4–6 years of relevant experience. - Skills: Working knowledge of mechanical and electromechanical components and equipment.
- Skills: Familiar with reading and interpreting documents, schematics, and blueprints.
- Skills: Able to recognize and solve typical problems from established operating procedures and scientific methods.
- Skills: Experience operating forklifts and other powered equipment.
- Skills: Ability to work within a team environment and adapt to changes in work requirements.
- Skills: Excellent customer service skills.
- This position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S. Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements.
Competitive Compensation
- Pay Range: $26.6/hr to $44.3/hr
- Participation in Annual Incentive Program
