Floor Technician – Full-Time

$14-$15/hour Simpsonville, SC

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Floor Technician to help maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and safety of our facility floors and common areas. This position is responsible for ensuring all flooring surfaces are properly cleaned, buffed, stripped, waxed, and maintained to create a safe and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Key responsibilities include operating floor care equipment including buffers, burnishers, scrubbers, and vacuums; stripping, waxing, buffing, and polishing floors according to facility schedules; cleaning and maintaining tile, vinyl, carpet, and other flooring surfaces; performing routine floor maintenance in resident rooms, hallways, dining rooms, and common areas; identifying and reporting flooring hazards, maintenance concerns, and safety issues; following all infection control, safety, and chemical handling procedures;

maintaining floor care equipment in proper working condition; assisting with housekeeping duties as needed; ensuring floors remain clean, dry, and free of hazards; maintaining supply inventories and notifying supervisors when reordering is needed; and following all facility policies and procedures regarding environmental services and resident safety.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent preferred, previous floor care or housekeeping experience preferred, experience operating floor machines, buffers, and burnishers preferred, ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment, strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, ability to work independently and efficiently, and excellent attendance and reliability.

Physical requirements include frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching; ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds; ability to operate floor care equipment for extended periods; and ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
