Under the general direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Engineer supports day‑to‑day operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance so business results are successfully achieved and the long‑term viability of the site is secured. This position is needed to support predictive and preventive maintenance systems with a focus on cost reduction, efficiency, and safety improvements, and process flow. Demonstrate desire to learn most aspects of the business and develop skill sets to help advance within the organization.

- Develop and implement project management systems related to preventive and reactive maintenance
- Work with maintenance team to diagnose equipment faults and develop long‑term solutions
- Respond to breakdowns to identify system failures, and assist in the repair of equipment
- Create maintenance procedures to ensure effective diagnosis of equipment failure and necessary preventive measures
- Make recommendations for necessary machine improvements and proactively seek approval from Maintenance Manager on special components, fixtures, and fittings
- Manage the budget and allocate funds to maintenance projects, forecast future spending
- Provide leadership for project execution to technicians and other maintenance team members
- Manage inventory of supplies and equipment
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Develop and maintain metrics around equipment functionality and financial impact
- Perform other duties as assigned
