Part time Housekeeper

Morningside University is looking for two dependable and energetic part-time Housekeepers to join our campus facilities team! If you take pride in creating clean, welcoming spaces and enjoy making a positive difference for students, faculty, staff, and visitors, this is the job for you! These positions work approximately 29 hours a week, which does include some hours on Saturday and Sunday.

As a Housekeeper, you will play an important role in keeping our campus buildings clean, orderly, safe, and inviting by:

• Performing a variety of custodial tasks to maintain clean, attractive, and orderly buildings
• Sweeping, mopping, and caring of floors.
• Performing general cleaning duties and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Operating household and cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Working independently and as part of a team to keep campus spaces looking their best.
• Providing friendly, professional service to students, employees, and campus visitors.

Strong customer service skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of general cleaning practices and experience using household or custodial equipment. The ability to work successfully independently or as part of a group. The ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
