Position Overview:
The Maintenance Team Member will be responsible for overseeing the cleaning and upkeep of company facilities. This includes ensuring the cleanliness of office spaces, restrooms, common areas, and handling routine vehicle inspections and repairs to keep the fleet in top condition.
Key Responsibilities:Custodial Duties:
- Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of office spaces, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
- Ensure that all areas are well-stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., toilet paper, soap, paper towels).
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize floors and surfaces to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
- Empty trash cans and recycling bins and ensure proper disposal of waste.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of windows, walls, and furniture.
- Monitor and maintain custodial equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues that require attention to management.
- Snow removal at company sites as necessary.
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles to ensure they are operating safely and efficiently.
- Maintain records of all vehicle maintenance, repairs, and associated costs.
- Ensure all vehicles are compliant with local regulations, including registration, insurance, and safety checks.
- Coordinate vehicle scheduling to ensure availability when needed and oversee usage across departments.
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, or related field preferred. - Prior experience in maintenance/custodial environments.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Experience managing vehicle fleets, including maintenance, repairs, and scheduling.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects and perform manual labor when needed.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and OSHA guidelines.
