Ag Technician

Earn up to $35.00/hour! We are seeking a dependable manure technician to support daily manure handling and nutrient management operations. This role is responsible for operating equipment, monitoring manure transfer systems, maintaining lagoons and storage facilities, and ensuring all work is completed safely and in compliance with environmental regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Operate pumps, separators, valves, and manure transfer equipment.
• Operate heavy equipment, including skid loaders, tractors, loaders, and other agricultural machinery.
• Monitor manure storage levels and assist with loading, hauling, and land application activities.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manure handling systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate records of manure movement, application, and equipment maintenance.
• Follow all environmental, safety, and biosecurity procedures.
• Keep work areas, equipment, and facilities clean, organized, and operating efficiently.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout the year.
• Assist with additional farm or production duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating heavy equipment and heavy machinery is required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Basic math skills are required for measurements, calculations, and record keeping.
• Previous agricultural, livestock, industrial, or equipment operating experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to safety, organization, and detail.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Compensation:
Up to $35.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
