As a Field Service Representative, you’ll be on the front lines providing operations and maintenance expertise on water treatment systems for one of our customers from one of a variety of industries. This mission‑critical role involves working on a variety of technologies including media filtration, wastewater, softening, reverse osmosis (RO), ion exchange (IX), de‑oxygenation, electro deionization, and ultrafiltration (UF).
Key Characteristics- Conduct maintenance and calibration activities
- Consult with customer management and operation teams
- Excellent mechanical know‑how and problem‑solving skills
- Ensure contract compliance of volume and quality specifications
- Operate, monitor, and optimize equipment performance
- Carry out mechanical, electrical and controls troubleshooting on equipment such as valves, air compressors, ejectors, process pumps, blowers, and instrumentation
- Create and maintain site paperwork, and provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and replacement parts
- Monitor and maintain chemical injection systems
- Perform analytical testing such as turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, SDI, TOC, and other site‑specific testing requirements
- Enter and complete work orders, purchase orders and PM plans in Salesforce
- Daily timekeeping in Kronos
- Complete and submit expense reports
- Respond to system trouble calls and troubleshoot and restore system operation in a timely manner
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma / GED / Home School Certification OR equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in service/maintenance (Electrical, chemical, and/or mechanical experience, pipe fitting) in an industrial environment
- Basic computer skills (email, data entry, online training, EHS reporting)
- Able to lift 50lbs
- Willingness and ability to respond to after‑hours call‑out within 2 hours
- Current Driver’s License
- Able to maintain site access
- Forklift experience/training or certifyable
- 100% travel (training/other site visits)
- Bachelor or Associates Degree in Science/Engineering (STEM) or technical
- Certificate in Instrumentation, electrical, mechanical
- 2 years of experience in Industrial, oil field, refineries, chemical or power generation plants
- Hot, dirty, loud, moving equipment experience
- Experience working with chemicals for water treatment
- Experience working with corrosive chemicals used for membrane cleaning operations
- Must be able to perform work with appropriate PPE (safety‑toed shoes, safety glasses, bump cap/hard hat, etc.)
- Time split between maintenance work and assembly work; bending, kneeling, fine‑motor work, using various hand tools and PVC bonding materials (glue, primer)
- Ability to operate power tools such as drills, grinders, and saws
- Some sitting and computer work required
- Some unassisted lifting up to 50 lbs; most heavy parts movement assisted with cranes/hoists and pallet jacks
- Acceptable to 100% travel
- Comfortable working with hot, dirty, loud, and moving equipment
- Compensation: hourly $22.60 - $37.26 USD (range may vary based on candidate’s skills, experience, and market conditions)
