Floor Technician – Full-Time

FCS Services is seeking an experienced Full-Time Floor Technician to join our overnight team at Sioux Falls Regional Airport. This position is responsible for maintaining hard floors and carpets throughout the facility using specialized floor care equipment and techniques.

The ideal candidate has previous experience with commercial floor care, including carpet maintenance, stripping and waxing floors, buffing, scrubbing, burnishing, and operating floor care equipment safely and efficiently.

• Perform routine and project floor care throughout the airport.
• Strip, wax, seal, scrub, buff, and burnish hard surface floors.
• Shampoo, extract, spot clean, and maintain carpeted areas.
• Operate floor scrubbers, burnishers, buffers, carpet extractors, and other floor care equipment.
• Identify and report flooring damage or maintenance concerns.
• Clean and maintain floor care equipment after each use.
• Follow floor care schedules and project assignments.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely according to company procedures.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment throughout the facility.

• Previous commercial floor care experience is required.
• Experience with carpet extraction, carpet maintenance, stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, and auto scrubbers.
• Knowledge of proper floor care chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical work throughout an 8-hour shift.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Good communication skills.
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check.

This position is primarily performed indoors throughout Sioux Falls Regional Airport. Employees may be exposed to cleaning chemicals, dust, noise, and high-traffic public areas. The position requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and operating specialized floor care equipment throughout the shift.
