At Silencer Central, we emphasize customer orientation, getting things done, and excellence. As a key member of the Silencer Central Team, the Facilities Lead is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and building operations of both the company’s facilities and the CEO’s personal property. This role manages all aspects of the physical building related to general maintenance and upkeep, and also oversees the upkeep of the CEO’s residence and grounds.
The ideal candidate will have experience in grounds or building maintenance, be highly organized, confidential, and able to handle the diverse demands of both corporate and residential environments.
- Facility Maintenance – Oversee the maintenance, repair, and improvement of Silencer Central’s facilities; ensure all systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.) are functioning optimally and the building maintains a high visual and cosmetic standard.
- Vendor Management – Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for maintenance, repairs, and other services. Negotiate contracts and ensure cost-effective service delivery.
- Grounds Maintenance – Oversee the exterior grounds of the building, including landscaping, parking lot, and snow removal.
- Maintenance Requests – Respond to internal maintenance requests and fix items or coordinate with vendors to resolve issues.
- Compliance and Safety – Ensure items such as fire extinguishers, electrical panels, generators, etc. are regularly tested and maintained.
- Vehicle Maintenance – Coordinate all vehicle maintenance and repairs and ensure licenses and tags are up to date, including insurance.
- Building Cleanliness – Oversee and coordinate with the external cleaning company to ensure overall building cleanliness and address issues as required.
- Grounds Maintenance – Oversee the landscaping and maintenance of the CEO’s residential property, ensuring grounds are well maintained and aesthetically pleasing. Manage pond maintenance to maintain adequate water levels and chemicals.
- Home Maintenance – Manage and coordinate all maintenance and repair tasks for the CEO’s home, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and construction projects.
- Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance – Coordinate all vehicle and equipment maintenance and repairs and ensure licenses and tags are up to date.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in facilities management or construction required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to facility and grounds management, including lifting, climbing, and operating machinery.
- Knowledge of basic building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) and maintenance best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proactive initiative and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to monitor and assess performance and take corrective action as needed.
- Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods while performing maintenance tasks.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery, such as forklifts and large equipment for landscaping and debris removal.
- Must have the physical capability to perform indoor and outdoor maintenance in various weather conditions.
