As a key member of the Silencer Central Team, the Facilities & Maintenance Lead is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and building operations of both the company’s facilities and the CEO’s personal property.
This unique role involves managing all aspects of the physical building as it relates to general maintenance and upkeep. In a similar way, this role also oversees the upkeep of the CEO’s residence and grounds. The ideal candidate will have experience in grounds or building maintenance, be highly organized, confidential, and be able to handle the diverse demands of both corporate and residential environments.
- Facility Maintenance – Oversee the maintenance, repair, and improvement of Silencer Central’s facilities ensuring all systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical etc.) are functioning optimally, while also maintaining high visual and cosmetic standards, preserving overall building appearance.
- Vendor Management – Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for maintenance, repairs, and other services. Negotiate contracts and ensure cost effective service delivery.
- Grounds Maintenance – Oversee the exterior grounds of the building including landscaping, parking lot, and snow removal.
- Maintenance Requests – Respond to internal maintenance requests and fix broken items as needed or coordinate with the appropriate vendor to resolve issues.
- Compliance and Safety – Ensure items such as fire extinguishers, electrical panels, generators, etc. are regularly tested and maintained.
- Vehicle Maintenance – coordinate all vehicle maintenance and repairs and ensure licenses and tags are up to date, including insurance.
- Building cleanliness – Oversee and coordinate external cleaning company to ensure overall building cleanliness and address issues as required.
- Grounds Maintenance – Oversee the landscaping and maintenance of the CEO’s residential property, ensuring the grounds are well maintained and aesthetically pleasing.
- Manage pond maintenance ensuring that adequate water levels and chemicals are maintained. - Home Maintenance – Manage and coordinate all maintenance and repair tasks with the CEO’s home, including but not limited to, HVAC, plumbing electrical, and construction projects.
- Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance – coordinate all vehicle and equipment maintenance and repairs and ensure licenses and tags are up to date.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in facilities management or construction required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to facility and grounds management, including lifting, climbing, and operating machinery.
- Knowledge of basic building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) and maintenance best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proactively takes initiative, proactive versus reactive.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently to achieve goals and targets.
