Summary
Works under the supervision of the Project Manager or designee with 95% standards of cleanliness within assigned tasks. Candidates should be qualified janitors/cleaners with a high level of cleanliness and attention to detail.

The pay rate for this position is $25.00/hour + $5.36/hour H&W. Please note, this is an on-call position. This position qualifies for a $1000 sign‑on bonus.

• Follow all rules and regulations related to entering and leaving the building.
• Be physically able to perform all duties and tasks in the statement of work and be free of communicable diseases.
• Utilize cleaning products, chemicals, vacuums, mops, wringers, dust tools, and floor machines.
• Report fires, hazardous conditions, and items in need of repair, such as dead lights, leaking faucets, and toilet stoppage.
• Perform basic cleaning tasks, including but not limited to:
  • Sweep and mop floors
  • Empty trash cans
  • Clean surfaces
  • Vacuum and wax floors
  • Conduct routine heavy cleaning
  • Move furniture as needed
• Document weekly and monthly tasks.
• Adhere to all applicable health and safety regulations.
• Follow established procedure methods for handling and mixing chemicals.

• Must have 3 months of general experience in progressively responsible housekeeping/sanitation or related work.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Must pass a background check and drug testing.

Knowledge of janitorial methods, practices, materials, tools, occupational hazards, and safety precautions of the janitorial work.

Preference will be given to qualified Ahtna Native Corporation Shareholders, descendants, and spouses in all phases of employment.

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Demonstrates good customer relationship skills.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; may be required to stand, walk, push, or pull heavy equipment for extended periods. Requires considerable reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
