Housekeeper – Part-Time Year-round

SUMMARY

Sitka Fine Arts Camp’s (SFAC’s) Housekeeper is responsible for turning over and cleaning dorm rooms on the Sitka Fine Arts Campus along with maintaining a clean environment for all staff and visitors to the Sitka Fine Arts Campus.

• Clean and turnover dorm rooms on the Sitka Fine Arts Campus including making beds, removing soiled linens, restocking linens, cleaning surfaces in rooms, vacuuming, and removing trash.
• Ensure rooms meet SFAC standards with a final walk around.
• Laundry.
• Restock and organize linen closets.
• Notify maintenance department of needed maintenance or repairs.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms and other common areas.
• Clean, mop, wash, buff and vacuum floors.
• Clean and polish fixtures.
• Remove recycling materials.
• Clean windows.
  
  Dust and vacuum furniture.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Ability and willingness to provide courteous service to all campus users
• Experience in custodial work

• Good time management
• Detail-oriented and thorough.
• Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of residents, tenants, and/or guests.

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and move items over 70 pounds.

• $18-$20/hr DOE
