Empowered Staffing is partnered with a rapidly growing owner and operator of healthcare facilities and ancillary healthcare services business. Our client is seeking a Controller to lead their accounting function. This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and scalability of financial reporting across a complex and expanding portfolio of healthcare entities.
The Controller serves as the quarterback for all accounting execution, including owning timelines, solving complex issues, integrating new acquisitions, and supporting the CFO and Director of Finance with reliable, actionable financial data.

WhatYou’ll Do
- Own all month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities across a complex, multi-entity healthcare platform
- Ensure accurate, GAAP-compliant financial statements, balance sheet integrity, and strong internal controls
- Lead and develop Accounting Managers and accounting staff while owning all accounting timelines and deliverables
- Act as the go-to problem solver for accounting issues, ad hoc reporting, and technical questions from the CFO and Director of Finance
- Oversee AP, AR, reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and general ledger activity
- Lead accounting integration for newly acquired nursing facilities, clinics, and ancillary healthcare businesses
- Partner with operations and leadership to implement new entities into the financial system and reporting structure
- Manage audits, cost reporting, and compliance requirements across the healthcare portfolio
- Build scalable processes to support rapid growth and increasing transaction volume
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in healthcare, senior living, or multi-entity businesses
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or related required. CPA preferred
- Deep knowledge of GAAP and strong technical accounting skills
- Experience managing teams and overseeing multiple concurrent projects
- Comfortable in fast-paced, high-volume, high-growth environments
- Highly organized, deadline-driven, and solutions-oriented
