A growing operational and distribution-focused organization is seeking a hands‑on Finance & Operations Accounting Manager to oversee core accounting activities, support inventory and operational accounting processes, and strengthen financial accuracy across the business.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning the month‑end close process, working closely with operations, improving accounting workflows, and supporting a fast‑paced environment where accuracy and process discipline matter.

The position offers strong visibility across finance and operations and is well suited for an accounting professional with experience in manufacturing, distribution, inventory, or operational accounting environments.

• Own and manage month‑end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews
• Maintain accuracy of inventory‑related accounting transactions and reconciliations
• Support inventory analysis, variance reviews, and operational accounting processes
• Review and reconcile general ledger activity to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Partner cross‑functionally with operations, supply chain, and leadership teams to improve financial visibility and reporting accuracy
• Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis activities
• Help strengthen internal controls, accounting procedures, and documentation processes
• Support audit requests and maintain accurate accounting records
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and workflow efficiencies
• Assist with ERP/system‑related accounting processes and reporting improvements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience in manufacturing, distribution, inventory, or operational accounting environments
• Strong understanding of month‑end close, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and financial reporting
• Experience with inventory accounting, cost accounting, or operational finance processes strongly preferred
• ERP system experience required (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, Net Suite, JD Edwards, or similar)
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently in a hands‑on environment
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
