Job Description
The Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the accounting functions within a small team. This position involves managing the general ledger, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and partial payroll processing. The role requires proficiency with Quick Books and other accounting software including Accounting CS, and the ability to provide basic support in tax preparation.
Responsibilities- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger
- Process accounts payable efficiently and accurately
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash records
- Handle partial payroll processing duties
- Support basic tax preparation activities
- Collaborate effectively within a small team of 2-5 members
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Proficiency in Quick Books, Accounting CS, and Microsoft Excel
- Experience with financial reporting
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective time management and communication abilities
- Problem-solving skills to address accounting issues
