Senior Accountant | $90,00 to $110,000 + Bonus/Benefits
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join a growing finance team. This position is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys owning key areas of the month-end close, improving processes, and partnering with stakeholders across the business. You'll play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting while contributing to ongoing operational and accounting initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining the accuracy of the general ledger.
- Lead month-end and year-end close activities to ensure timely financial reporting.
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare financial statements, supporting schedules, and management reports.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.
- Analyze financial data and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency.
- Partner with departments across the organization to resolve accounting issues and improve financial processes.
- Assist with special projects, system implementations, and process optimization initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Experience managing month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA certification is a plus.
- Public accounting experience is a plus.
