High School Us History/Social Studies Teacher

Fasman Yeshiva High School is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated high school US history/social studies teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a proven ability to inspire and engage students at all levels of US history/social studies. We are looking for someone who can create an inclusive and positive learning environment where students can develop their love for history and reach their full potential.

• Teach and plan lessons for US history/social studies courses for high school students.
• Develop and implement engaging and interactive classroom activities and assessments to support student learning.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students, including those with lower academic ability.
• Use assessment data to inform and adjust teaching practices, set individual student goals, and provide targeted support.
• Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement interdisciplinary projects and activities.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in US history/social studies education.
• Provide support and guidance to students outside of class as needed.
• Foster a positive and supportive classroom culture that encourages risk-taking and promotes student engagement and success.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and achievement.

Education and Training:

• Bachelor's degree in history or a related field
• At least 3 years of successful teaching experience at the high school level
• Strong knowledge of US history/social studies
• Ability to differentiate instruction and design engaging lessons for all levels and abilities
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 5 pounds at times.
