OverviewTeach a course(s) in the MS Data Analytics program with a concentration in Healthcare Analytics.
Adjunct is responsible for instruction, course preparation, developing instructional materials, grading and assessment, and professional responsibilities as a member of the instructional team of a school or academic department.
Responsibilities- Teaching program course(s)
- Preparing lectures, assignments, assessments, and course material as needed for the course(s)
- Grading assignments, projects, papers, presentations, and/or exams and providing students with valuable and timely feedback
- Developing or updating the syllabus to reflect what is taught in the course(s) and how it is presented and assessed
- Collaborating with the Director to implement necessary assessment tools into relevant course materials
Education, Preparation, and Training
- Doctoral degree
- At least one year of teaching experience
- At least three years of professional experience
Skills
- Knowledge of the subject matter and online teaching/classroom management skills
- Data Analytics
- Mathematics and statistics
- Healthcare sector data analysis
- Databases and data modeling
- Visualization
- Data mining and data warehousing
- Healthcare security and privacy policy (e.g., HIPAA)
Physical Demands
- Use of a computer

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
- In addition to the subject matter, the ability to effectively use an LMS such as Blackboard or Canvas
