Grades 6-8 Bilingual Teacher; Urdu

Job Summary:

The EL Teacher will instruct limited EL Students in a TBE program. The teacher will cooperatively work with other classroom teachers, pupil personnel team, and complementary subject area teachers. The teacher will be responsible for the screening assessment and follow-up on students whose first language is not English, meeting needs of English language development, evaluating student progress, and communicating progress to parents.

• Illinois State Board of Education Professional Educator Licensure appropriate to assignment
  • Bilingual Educator endorsement required
• Solutions-focused approach to supporting the social, emotional, and academic development of all children
• Experience working within an elementary school setting and a diverse (culturally, racially, ethnically, linguistically etc.) student population
