Job Details
- The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing core accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting close, consolidation, and compliance activities across multiple legal entities.
- This role requires experience within a publicly traded company and a strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial statement preparation.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Support the close process for multiple legal entities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Assist with consolidated financial reporting and intercompany accounting
- Ensure compliance with SOX requirements, internal controls, and company accounting policies
- Support external and internal audits, including preparation of audit schedules and responses to auditor inquiries
- Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, tax, legal, and operational teams
- Analyze complex transactions and provide technical accounting guidance as needed
- Assist with process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Support SEC reporting activities (e.g., 10-K, 10-Q) as applicable
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
- CPA or CPA-eligible strongly preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Prior experience in a publicly traded company required
- Experience working with multiple legal entities and complex organizational structures
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Net Suite, Oracle, SAP, or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
- Background in financial services or a highly regulated industry
- Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
