Supervising Senior Accountant

Our client, a multi billion dollar a year manufacturing company, is looking for a highly analytical and detail-focused Senior Accountant to oversee key financial processes and contribute to strategic decision-making. This role is an opportunity to support financial operations, enhance reporting precision, and drive process improvements within a dynamic environment. In addition, the Senior Accountant will have 3 direct reports. Exciting step up opportunity for a rising Senior Accountant to get supervisory experience.

Core Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
• Handle month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Evaluate financial trends, providing insights to optimize operations and business planning.
• Collaborate with auditors and tax specialists to uphold compliance and improve financial strategies.
• Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, automation, and data integrity in accounting workflows.
• Monitor regulatory obligations, ensuring timely tax filings and audit compliance.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting to support long-term financial planning.
• Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and minimize risk exposure.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA certification is a plus.
• 4-6 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or auditing.
• Strong proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to interpret complex financial data and present actionable insights.
• Experience working in evolving financial environments with shifting priorities.
• Excellent attention to detail while maintaining efficiency in workflows.
• Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to partner across teams and solve financial challenges effectively.
