Position: Client Relationship Consultant 2 (Banker) - Skokie Dempter

Responsibilities
  • Build and foster client relationships through proactive outreach and follow‑up.
  • Engage customers across in‑person, appointment, and virtual channels with a digital‑first mindset.
  • Obtain and process customer and account information.
  • Demonstrate and educate clients on deposit and loan products.
  • Recommend solutions based on customers’ unique goals and needs.
  • Maintain knowledge of consumer and business banking products, including digital services.
  • Process basic transactions and open new consumer and business accounts.
  • Complete service requests and submit credit applications.
  • Proactively educate clients on emerging and self‑service digital products.
  • Leverage resources and technologies to optimize the client experience.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three to four years of retail banking experience or an equivalent combination of experience and training
Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Proven ability to build and foster relationships with proactive outreach and follow‑up
  • Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients
  • Thorough knowledge of bank and branch policies, procedures, and support systems
  • Proven customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with digital products and self‑service technologies
  • Ability to explore and identify customers’ true needs with a digital‑first mindset
  • Demonstrated proficiency in making appropriate recommendations both reactively and proactively
  • Experience in the financial services industry preferred
Requirements
  • National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z
  • Compliance with background checks, including criminal and credit review
  • Working from a U.S. Bank location for all scheduled work days
