A Brief Overview:
As a Data Scientist I at Endeavor Health, you will be responsible for developing solutions for automated monitoring of quantitative, predictive, prescriptive, and Generative AI (GenAI) models on Epic. Your primary focus will be on automating the monitoring of our clinical prediction models and developing dashboards for GenAI models, heavily leveraging our Epic ecosystem – specifically Epic Cogito and Nebula, to monitor patient outcomes and increase operational efficiency.
This role requires intellectual curiosity, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to work independently in a fast-evolving, ambiguous environment. We’re looking for people who thrive even when the roadmap is still being drawn. Effective communication skills are essential to translate complex AI concepts for non-technical stakeholders and collaborate across product, engineering, and business teams.
You will serve as an internal Epic expert, leading efforts to understand, enhance, develop frameworks for AI monitoring, and rapidly prototype and build innovative features that improve accuracy, reliability, and user experience.
What you will do:
- Model & GenAI Monitoring: Design, build, and maintain automated systems for monitoring the performance, health, and usage of both predictive models and GenAI models running in Epic Nebula and tracked via Cogito dashboards.
- Data Collection and Preprocessing: Collect, clean, and preprocess data directly from Epic Chronicles, Caboodle, and the enterprise data lakehouse to prepare it for analysis and model validation.
- Implementation and Validation: Assist in the end-to-end analytics product lifecycle, from initial configuration and testing in a proof-of-concept environment to deployment and validation in production.
- Analysis and Communication: Document your work and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Work closely with peers, IT experts, and clinical teams to help design and develop end-to-end analytics products and ensure that model outputs are effectively integrated into clinical workflows.
What you will need:
- Education: Bachelor’s in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields.
- Certification: Epic Cogito Fundamentals (or within 90 days of hire date)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in data science, analytics, or similar role.
