The Role
The Supply Chain Planner at Second Life Mac is responsible for executing end-to-end production planning from Intake through Fulfillment, scheduling deals by due date and device type to ensure the correct devices are made available for Sales. This role actively orders supplies from vendors, frequently negotiating better rates from current suppliers and looking for lower costs and new supply opportunities. The Supply Chain Planner also maintains an overall forecasting engine that projects device production and supply usage in a given time period.
Key Responsibilities- Use inbound pickup reports, WIP totals, and staffing rates to project daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly outputs
- Share weekly production forecasts with the Sales team and align projects with organizational goals
- Build daily schedules for the Intake team based on payment terms and device status
- Maintain a healthy Locked Device intake rate to avoid over saturating the processing cells
- Ensure all Client deals are inducted within agreed payment terms - zero past-due processing
- Release POs to ensure timely procurement of production, warehouse, and operational supplies
- Adjust safety stock levels seasonally to eliminate stockouts and overstocks
- Continuously benchmark suppliers for the lowest cost across all supply categories
- Execute negotiation strategies to drive down vendor rates across the board
- Build a network of partners that generate regular opportunity purchases
- 3-5 years in supply chain, demand planning, or purchasing
- Hands-on vendor sourcing and negotiation experience
- Background in a production or warehouse environment
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, operations, or related field preferred
