CNC Machinist
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming, precision measurement, and mechanical fabrication. This role involves operating and programming CNC lathes and milling machines, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring high-quality production standards. The CNC Machinist will play a vital role in maintaining efficient manufacturing processes while adhering to safety and quality protocols.
Monday - Friday 1st shift - 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Pay: $27.75 - $31.91 BOE 2nd shift - 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM Pay: $29.75 - $33.91 BOE
Responsibilities- Program, set up, and operate CNC machines including CNC lathes and milling machines using Fanuc controls.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, GD&T specifications, and CAD/CAM files to produce precise components.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify part dimensions.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues related to machining processes.
- Select appropriate tooling and fixtures for machining operations, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Conduct quality checks throughout the manufacturing process to meet specifications and standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following safety protocols related to electrical discharge machining, welding, plastics injection molding, and other manufacturing processes.
- Assist in assembly or related tasks as needed using hand tools, power tools, or welding equipment.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying areas for process improvement and waste reduction.
- Proficiency in CNC programming and CAM programming software.
- Strong understanding of GD&T principles and blueprint reading skills.
- Mechanical knowledge of manufacturing processes including electrical discharge machining, plastics injection molding, welding, and assembly techniques.
- Experience with Solid Works, CAD software, and tooling design.
- Familiarity with CNC controls such as Fanuc systems.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines accurately.
- Basic math skills for calculations related to machining tolerances and dimensions.
- Knowledge of machining operations involving CNC lathe and CNC milling machines.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely when required.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles for continuous improvement initiatives.
