Hourly Pay Range: $61.22 - $85.71 – Determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience.
Position Highlights- Position:
Advanced Practice Provider (APN/PA) – Critical Care/ICU - Location:
Skokie Hospital, Skokie, IL - Hours:
Part‑Time, 36 hours per week;
Monday‑Friday 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.; 2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.; occasional 6:45 a.m. – 6:45 p.m.; rotating weekends and holidays required. No overnights or call. - Travel:
Required to Evanston, Glenbrook, and Highland Park Hospitals and occasionally to all North Shore sites. - Role:
Inpatient critical‑care provider.
- Provide comprehensive patient care under the direction of physicians—obtaining histories, performing physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostics, and prescribing treatments.
- Write progress notes and maintain accurate medical records.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of specialty standards of practice.
- Teach patients and families about therapeutic regimens and health maintenance.
- Work autonomously within interdisciplinary teams, contributing to safety and quality of care.
- Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) licensure in the State of Illinois;
Federal DEA and Illinois controlled‑substance license required. - Graduate of an accredited Physician Associate Master’s Degree program, or an APN Master’s (MSN) or Doctorate of Nursing (DNP) program.
- BLS/CPR and ACLS certification required.
- Preferred prior APN/PA experience; will consider ANP or FNP with relevant experience and training.
- Experience in critical‑care patient management mandatory, or completion of a one‑year critical‑care residency required.
- Preference for APN Acute Care NP or Adult Gerontology Acute Care NP Board Certification (ACNP or AGACNP).
