Position Title

Registered Nurse House Operations Administrator - Evening and Night Shifts

    Monday‑Friday 1100‑2330 and 1900‑0730, rotating weekends every other and holidays

A Brief Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced registered nurse to join our team as a Clinical Nurse Consultant. The role focuses on providing expert clinical guidance, leadership, and bed placement/capacity management for the four North Shore Hospitals.

What you will do
  • Serve as a clinical expert in a specific area of nursing practice, providing guidance and support to nursing staff.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to assess and improve patient care protocols and practices.
  • Conduct educational sessions, workshops, and in‑service training for nursing staff to enhance their clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Mentor and coach nurses to promote professional growth and excellence in patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, data analysis, and the development of evidence‑based care protocols.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
  • Ensure adherence to hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and accreditation standards.
  • Provide guidance on compliance issues and assist in regulatory audits and inspections.
  • Advocate for the highest quality of care for patients and families.
  • Address patient and family concerns and assist in resolving any issues related to care.
  • Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in nursing practice.
  • Assist in the implementation of evidence‑based practices to improve patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of education sessions, quality improvement initiatives, and compliance efforts.
  • Generate reports and data analysis to track progress and outcomes.
What you will need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (required) or Master's Degree in Nursing (preferred)
  • 5+ years of clinical nursing experience, with expertise in medical/surgical nursing
  • Critical care experience strongly preferred
  • Registered Nurse (RN) – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) current Illinois RN license (required)
  • BLS (AHA) and ACLS required
