Evanston Hospital

Hourly Pay Range: $36.00 - $55.80 (depends on expertise and years of experience)

Employment Type:

Full time (also available part time)

Hours:

7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. with call rotation (4–6 per 6‑week schedule), 1 weekend per 6‑week schedule, and 2–4 holiday shifts per year.

Independently provides safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for all patient populations on a specific unit. Utilizes the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care. Includes patient and family in the plan of care as appropriate. Maintains regulatory compliance in individual practice. Assumes the responsibility, accountability, and authority for outcomes of nursing care and makes decisions based on therapeutic relationships with patients.

Guides and directs assigned unlicensed nursing personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care. Communicates and collaborates with nurses, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.

• Education:
  
  Graduate of a state‑approved school of nursing required; BSN preferred.
• License/Certification: IL RN License, CPR/ BLS issued by American Heart Association.
• Experience:
  
  6 months RN experience in a comparable role preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
