Hourly Pay Range
$36.00 - $55.80 – hourly rate depends on experience and other factors.
Position Highlights- Position:
Registered Nurse – Pre Procedure Services - Location:
4901 Searle Pkwy, Skokie, IL - Part Time, 20 hours per week
- Hours:
Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (no calls or weekends)
- License:
Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of Illinois - Education:
Graduate of an NLN-accredited nursing school (BSN strongly preferred) - Certification: BLS/CPR Certification for the Healthcare Provider
- Experience:
Minimum 5 years in peri‑anesthesia (PAT, Pre‑op, PACU/Phase
2). Strong background in pre‑admission testing preferred. - Unique or Preferred
Skills:
Proficiency in EPIC Application
- Demonstrate a commitment to the mission of Endeavor Health and exhibit a positive service orientation.
- Conduct patient interviews via telephone prior to scheduled surgeries to obtain and share procedural information.
- Provide patient education via telephone regarding upcoming surgery.
- Inform patients of the pre‑anesthetic evaluation process.
- Collaborate closely with the anesthesia provider team.
- Ensure required pre‑surgical testing is completed before the patient’s surgical appointment.
- Integrate research findings into nursing practice.
- Work cohesively with related nursing areas prior to procedure.
- Maintain knowledge of nursing procedures specific to different service lines and current standards of care.
- Promote hospital quality improvement goals.
- Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit.
- Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care.
- Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary care.
- Communicate and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
- Contribute positively to safety outcomes and promote a high‑quality patient experience.
