Position
Registered Nurse - Pre Procedure Services
LocationSkokie, IL
TypePart-Time, 20 hours/week
Responsibilities- Conduct telephone patient interviews prior to surgery, provide preoperative education, collaborate with anesthesia teams, ensure completion of pre-surgical testing, and deliver safe, compassionate nursing care.
- Utilize the nursing process for planning and evaluation, guide unlicensed staff, and communicate effectively with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain current knowledge of nursing standards and promote quality improvement initiatives.
- IL Nursing License
- NLN-accredited nursing education (BSN preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification
- Minimum 5 years’ peri-anesthesia experience
- Strong background in pre-admission testing
- Proficiency in EPIC required
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and patient education abilities, with a focus on safety and high-quality care.
