Hourly Pay Range

$18.84 - $27.32. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Job Summary

The Research Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting and contributing to research initiatives within the hospital's Research and Innovation department. This position provides an opportunity to be involved in cutting‑edge medical research projects that can have a profound impact on patient care and healthcare advancements.

What you will do
  • Collaborating with principal investigators and research teams to assist in the planning, design, and execution of research studies and experiments.
  • Preparing and maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functionality and cleanliness, and assisting with the procurement of research supplies and materials.
  • Collecting, recording, and analyzing research data using various techniques, instruments, and software, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Conducting literature reviews and assisting in the development of research protocols, grant applications, and research publications.
  • Preparing research materials, including laboratory reagents, tissue samples, and specimens, and ensuring proper storage and documentation.
  • Assisting with participant recruitment, consent processes, and data collection, ensuring compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.
  • Performing data entry, quality control, and statistical analysis, as well as generating data reports and graphical representations for research presentations.
  • Maintaining accurate and organized research records, including electronic and paper files, and ensuring data confidentiality and security.
  • Assisting in the preparation and submission of research proposals, grant applications, and Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions.
  • Participating in research team meetings, contributing to discussions, and staying informed about advancements in the field.
What you will need
  • Education: HS Diploma required;
    Bachelors Degree preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a research role, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting, is advantageous and preferred.
