As an Assistant Store Manager at Sephora, you will support the Store Manager in overseeing store operations, ensuring client service excellence, and driving sales. You will lead a team of associates, fostering a positive work environment that encourages growth and development.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations to ensure a smooth and efficient client experience.
- Help develop and implement strategies to drive store sales and increase profitability.
- Assist in coordinating sales, profitability, performance, service, and operations.
- Assist in leading, coaching, and motivating a team of associates to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Conduct performance appraisals, manage employee development, and provide ongoing feedback.
- Support the leadership team to ensure effective collaboration and achievement of store goals.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through excellent service, handle complaints, and provide solutions.
- Support client loyalty programs and services to ensure client loyalty and engagement.
- Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Uphold Sephora brand excellence in‑store, maintaining a consistent client experience.
- Assist in managing inventory levels to ensure product availability.
- Support resource allocation and staffing to ensure optimal productivity and performance.
- Proven experience as a retail assistant manager.
- 3–5 years of experience managing high‑volume, complex retail or hospitality environments.
- Strong leadership skills and business acumen.
- Client management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to attract, identify, and inspire employees.
- Flexible availability to work a retail schedule.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, bend/stretch to stock shelves, stand/walk sales floor for the entire shift, and work in a fragrance‑filled environment.
- Adherence to Sephora’s dress code and policies in the Employee Handbook.
Annual base salary range: $67,600.00 – $78,660.00 (actual base salary based on qualifications, experience, location, etc.).
