Position Overview
We’re looking for a motivated and self-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing team. This role is key to generating revenue through proactive lead generation, client engagement, and closing sales of used food processing and packaging machinery. It’s an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in outbound sales and wants to make a real impact in a niche but dynamic industry.
Responsibilities- Prospecting & Outreach
:
Target food and beverage manufacturers with surplus equipment or machinery needs. - Lead Generation
:
Leverage internal databases, online platforms, and trade show networks to identify and connect with qualified prospects. - Client Engagement
:
Build strong relationships with plant managers, engineers, purchasing teams, and executives to assess equipment needs. - Sales Execution
:
Deliver proposals, negotiate pricing, and close deals involving used industrial machinery. - Pipeline Management
:
Track sales activities and leads through CRM tools to ensure follow-through and conversion. - Market Intelligence
:
Monitor industry trends, auctions, and competitor moves to inform your outreach strategy. - Team Collaboration
:
Work closely with our shop, auction, and inside sales teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
- 2–5 years of B2B sales experience (capital equipment or industrial sales preferred)
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
- Familiarity with CRM systems and digital sales tools
- Highly motivated, self-starting, and goal-driven
- Willingness to travel for client visits and industry events
- Knowledge of food processing equipment is a plus, but not required
Competitive base salary + uncapped commission (OTE based on experience and performance)
