Position: Casual Staff/Biology/Physical Science Lab Staff

Job Description

  • Provide regularly scheduled work coverage on Tuesdays – Saturdays 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. each semester during regular semester hours.
  • Assist in checking that all labs are complete/prepped.
  • Assist in preparing hazardous solutions without the need for supervision.
  • Assist in culturing bacteria for microbiology and all biology courses.
  • Assist in clerical work.
  • Assist in preparing 8‑week course materials.
  • Assist in training lab personnel.
  • Assist in updating prep sheets.
  • Assist in developing training videos for various aspects of the bio‑prep lab.
  • Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
    • Requirements
    • Associate’s degree, 2 semesters of biology or chemistry, and 1 year of biology or chemistry lab experience.
    Additional Information

    Hourly: $19 per hour
    25 hours per week – Tuesdays through Saturdays 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
