A well-regarded metal fabrication facility seeks an Industrial Millwright to join forces with an experienced professional willing to impart years of practical wisdom. With a recent retirement, the team is eager to bring in a motivated individual ready to embrace the craft with dedication. The tool room maintains a pristine, well-ordered, and climate-controlled setting, reflecting the team’s high expectations.
Master and execute inspection, maintenance, and restoration of dies, punches, and manufacturing tooling under direct tutelage
Create replacement parts and tooling solutions using manual machine tools
Operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, presses, and related machinery
Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints as needed
Exercise judgment for tooling without established schematics
Utilize precision measuring tools like micrometers and calipers
Assist with tooling adjustments for quality maintenance
Aid production teams during transitions and setups as required
Manage tooling inventory and documentation accurately
Adhere to safety, quality, and cleanliness protocols
What They NeedHigh school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training is a strong asset
Experience in manual machining with lathe and mill proficiency preferred
Candidates with mechanical aptitude but lacking formal machining experience will be considered if they display enthusiasm for learning
Ability to read blueprints is beneficial
