HVAC Maintenance Worker

Aramark is seeking an HVAC Maintenance Worker I for 1st shift at Skokie Hospital. In this union role, you will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems, air handlers, exhaust fans, and related mechanical equipment to support a safe, comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, filter changes, monitoring building automation, and responding to service calls. You'll document work, follow safety and infection-control standards, and collaborate with a facilities team in a culture focused on service, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC equipment, including air handlers, pumps, and exhaust systems
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, including filter changes, belt adjustments, and lubrication
• Monitor and adjust building automation systems to maintain temperature and air quality standards
• Respond to work orders and service calls in a timely and professional manner
• Document all maintenance activities, parts used, and findings in the work order system
• Follow all safety, infection-control, and regulatory guidelines within a healthcare environment
• Collaborate with facilities team members and hospital staff to minimize equipment downtime
• Identify and report equipment issues and improvement opportunities to supervisors
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition
• Support emergency and off-hours HVAC or facilities needs as required
