School Social Work Intern

Hillel Torah, in Skokie, is seeking a warm and energetic school social work intern to serve for the  school year. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting children, excellent interpersonal skills, and an organized and proactive working style. The School Social Work intern is directly supervised by our School Social Worker and serves as a member of a broader student support team.

• Work closely with students, parents, teachers, and administrators in grades K-8 to problem solve and support students’ social/emotional and behavioral well-being.
• Work 1:1 with students with a range of social/emotional challenges.
• Co-facilitate social skills groups.
• Create and implement student treatment plans.
• Write up 2 weekly process recordings and individual case notes.

• 2nd year social work program working towards a type 73.
• Preferred specialization in schools.
