Position Summary

Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback. Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans;

using the Open Door Policy; and applying these in executing business processes and practices.

What you’ll do
  • Perform basic to intermediate inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, and replacements on all Walmart equipment (trailers, tractors, yard trucks, shop equipment, service vehicles) according to company guidelines.
  • Create and process work orders; assess maintenance, repair, and replacement needs; identify needed parts and possible solutions; select the best solution.
  • Conduct maintenance, repairs, and replacements such as repairing and replacing brake system components (air, anti‑skid, ABS, disc brakes), replacing leaky wheel seals, dismounting/installing tractor‑trailer tires, following DOT guidelines.
  • Communicate with customers, suppliers, and associates verbally and in writing; complete all work‑order, record, log, and other documentation according to established procedures.
  • Receive fuel drops and conduct fuel sampling by monitoring the drop for safety compliance; follow procedures for fuel additives; monitor tank levels before and after; collect, prepare, and ship fuel samples for analysis; complete appropriate paperwork.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid state‑issued driver's license.
  • Brake inspection qualifications defined in FMCSA regulations, Section 396.25.
  • Vehicle inspection qualifications defined in FMCSA regulations, Section 396.19.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Microsoft Office ASE Certification.
  • DOT Transportation Certification.
