Telescope Mechanic

The National Radio Astronomy Observatory seeks a Telescope Mechanic II-III to maintain and repair complex radio telescope systems supporting world-class astronomy research. In this on-site role, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on large antenna structures, drive systems, and mechanical subassemblies, ensuring precise, reliable operation for observing schedules. Responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical and electromechanical issues, interpreting technical drawings, using precision measurement tools, and documenting work in maintenance systems.
