Maintenance Technician – Responsible for general building repairs and maintenance, repairing warehouse equipment, and completing handyman work as needed both inside the Distribution Center and around the property.
Responsibilities- General building maintenance, including carpentry, painting, and electrical repairs.
- Landscaping including lawn care and snow removal around the building property.
- Concrete and floor repairs.
- Maintain accurate records in Service Channel of all maintenance tasks performed as instructed.
- Operate equipment safely, ensuring safety for self and others and maintaining a watchful eye for unsafe practices.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
- Previous facilities repair and maintenance experience.
- Ability to operate and knowledge of forklift or other industrial equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; experience in facilities maintenance.
- Proactive, effective communication skills, including reading, writing, and comprehending instructions.
- Skilled in multitasking and managing competing priorities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, as determined by departmental needs.
- Ability to safely and effectively use general hand tools such as saws and drills.
- Computer skills for email and managing Service Channel work orders.
- Minimum age 18 years old.
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, and crouch.
- Capability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs and objects up to 250 lbs, with or without accommodations.
- Stand and walk continuously to perform job functions (90% standing/walking, 5% sitting, 5% desk or phone work).
