Position Title
Assistant Site Supervisor

Reports ToBuilding Principal / Director of Facilities
SummaryMaintains district school buildings in operating excellence, ensuring no disruptions to the educational program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Instruct custodians verbally and in writing in building and grounds custodial and routine maintenance.
- Assist with setup and clean‑up of cafeteria program.
- Assist the maintenance supervisor in scheduling and assigning extra time for custodians.
- Maintain inventory of custodial/maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Clean and preserve designated spaces, equipment, etc., in the building.
- Perform ongoing preventative maintenance and minor repair on plumbing, custodial equipment, ventilation, building structure and hardware.
- Perform minor maintenance and repairs.
- Assist visiting public with directions and equipment setup.
- Mow grass, shovel snow and maintain grounds and equipment.
- Maintain building and grounds security.
- Maintain work‑related records and prepare reports as directed.
- Perform supervisory duties.
- Report major building problems to Building Supervisor or Building Principal.
- Coordinate all job functions with Building Supervisor.
- Service boilers, scrubbers, outdoor machinery, etc.
- Perform all other duties as prescribed by the immediate supervisor.
- Substitute for building supervisor on short‑term or long‑term basis.
- Work before/after regular shift or during emergencies.
- Work closely with school administrators.
Custodial staff within the building.

Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups and other employees.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to add and subtract two‑digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10s and 100s; perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Computer SkillsBasic knowledge and experience with job‑related computer hardware and software applications.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization; interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OtherSkills and Abilities
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and the community; perform duties with awareness of district requirements and Board of Education policies.
Physical DemandsRequires standing, walking, using hands and fingers; reaching, squatting, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs; frequent hand strength use; climbing ladders; bending or twisting neck and trunk; vision: close, color, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustment.
Work EnvironmentWorks primarily indoors, occasionally outdoors, near moving mechanical equipment, toxic or caustic chemicals; meets deadlines with severe time constraints; moderate noise level.
Work Hours2:30 pm to 11:00 pm – 8 hours per day.
SalaryAs per negotiated contract.
