Summary/Objective
Shipping and Receiving workers are responsible for keeping records of all products shipped and received at Masterbilt INC. They pack goods in shipping containers, develop mailing labels and shipping documents, and ensure that all orders have been filled correctly. These workers also verify incoming shipments by scanning barcodes to store information into computers. They may work in offices inside warehouses and manufacturing plants, maintaining safety and quality system standards, keeping proper documentation, and maintaining equipment and gaging to support the achievement of Masterbilt’s business goals and objectives.
EssentialFunctions
- Perform unpacking of shipment deliveries.
- Prepare shipping documents.
- Maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Consolidate shipping orders.
- Create mailing labels.
- Ensure high attention to detail in all tasks.
- Collaborate effectively with team members.
- Communicate clearly and professionally.
- Perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
- Utilize interpersonal skills to enhance team performance.
- Maintain physical fitness to handle the demands of the job.
- Organize and prioritize tasks to ensure smooth workflow.
- Operate a forklift (knowledge beneficial).
- This position may require standing, walking, bending, reaching, and use of hands and fingers.
- The employee may be required to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
- The product mix includes Aerospace and Medical components.
In addition to their core duties, Shipping and Receiving workers may engage in customer service-related tasks. This includes handling inquiries related to shipments, coordinating with internal and external customers, and ensuring excellent service delivery. Ideal candidates will have experience in customer-facing roles and possess strong communication skills.
RequirementsEducation and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0-5 years of experience in a customer service environment preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing or warehouse settings beneficial.
- Career-minded with excellent customer service skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to think critically and solve problems.
- Lead by example, inspiring team members to follow best practices.
- Open to feedback and continuous improvement.
- Comfortable using technology, including Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Ability to multitask and process high volumes of work with accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work varying shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
